Who we support

People First. Goals First. Possibilities First.

Every person has a different combination of strengths, challenges, experiences and goals. We do not believe a diagnosis should be the first or most important thing people see.

Support shaped around the individual

Our services are intended for individuals who may benefit from practical support in developing daily living skills, increasing community participation, strengthening routines, building confidence or working toward greater independence.

Individualized Support

Two people with the same diagnosis may have completely different abilities, preferences and goals. For that reason, support should begin with the individual—not a label.

For Families

Families often carry years of knowledge, advocacy and concern for the people they love. We respect that experience while also recognizing the individual’s right to have a voice, make choices and develop greater autonomy.

We want to understand:

  • What is important to you?
  • What can you already do independently?
  • Where would you like more support?
  • What would you like to learn?
  • What does greater independence mean to you?

Not Sure Whether Medak Is the Right Fit?

You do not need to determine that on your own. Tell us a little about the support you are looking for, and we can discuss current services and next steps.
